Goats Music and More Fair

The Goats, Music, More Fair will be held Friday and Saturday, October 21 and 22 at Rock Creek Park in Lewisburg. The fun begins each day at 9:00 a.m. There will not be a sanctioned goat show; however, a Livestock Exhibit Tent will be set up for viewing of beef cattle, dairy cattle, hogs, a Tennessee Walking Horse, boar goats, a calf, and bunny rabbits.Also inside this tent will be a corn pit for children to enjoy. Vendors with all sorts of products have signed on for the festival. Nick Mayer will even have a few vehicles for festival goers to inspect. Food trucks promise all kinds of delicious food. Tokens can be purchased for multiple rides for the children.  Fairest of the Fair Contests directed by Kristi Hobbs will be held  Saturday on the main stage. These pageants start at 11:00 a.m. and will run until about 3:00 p.m. Live entertainment begins each evening at 5:00 p.m. Friday night's lineup includes Scott Southworth and the Honky Tonk Anonymous Band at 5:00 p.m., Shelby Lee Lowe at 6:45 p.m., and Gary Nichols at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night's lineup includes The Wentzel Brothers at 5:00 p.m., Full Circle at 6:45 p.m., and The Midnight Riders at 8:30 p.m. Parking is available in the Murray Farm Field east of the creek or in several areas around the perimeter of the festival site. Handicap parking is available off First Avenue. Admission is free.
